Scores of passengers are stranded at Panthal area of Reasi district in Jammu who according to them were facing hardships due to lack of arrangements from last couple of days. The passengers while talking to KNO said that they are facing immense hardships in absence of proper arrangements for them. “We came from different states and were heading towards Srinagar but due to the closure of highway, we are stuck here and no arrangement is being made for the stranded passengers here, thus resulting in immense hardships to them,” they said. Moreover, the passengers who are stuck at Panthal and others places on Srinagar-Jammu highway here have appealed the State administration to look into their sufferings and ensure the road is thrown open at an earliest. “There are aged persons, women among the passengers who are stuck on highway, therefore we urge the authorities to either airlift us or to speed up road clearance work so that the stranded passengers will reach their destinations,” they said.
